So what's the wonderful story behind DTF? Were it some ambitious people with a dream to start up their own record label? Was it an amazing first event? Or was it the launch of an illegal mp3 site? Let's try to find out...

Vinny (DTF Artist): "I remember the very first DTF party, a trance / hardhouse party in a pretty small club on a summer Thursday night. We were selling our own tickets in this club in the weeks before the party. It didn't really work, and buying beer made sure that the money from the few tickets we did sell was gone by the end of the night. We also forgot to answer our 'hotline', a cell phone where you could order tickets. So in the end we were all pretty unsure if we would get some crowd inside... but the place was packed! An amazing experience... and the beginning of DTF Events :-)"

Dominic (Friend of DTF): "During my study I've invested a lot of time in the company. It was mainly a matter of learning (did I say cowboying?), since we were young and still had to find out basically everything about the business. But promoting international producers in Holland (such as Hibernate, CosmicMan and Shane 54) soon resulted in the birth of DTF Recordings. Since all the important Dutch trance labels all had some reasons not to sign Shane's 'Equinoxe 4', we decided to release it ourselves. With the help of our friends Mat Silver and Tony Burt it became a big hit, and we even reached to the official top 10 in Spain. A cool start of DTF Music and DTF Artists... definitely."

Rich (DTF Member): "Me and my friend Ben were browsing the internet, searching for music (Dutch trance mainly!), when we noticed a link to a site called 'Dutch Trance Force'. We were like 'Oh my god, that has to be incredible!'. And it was. Not just the music, but also the members - of which I've met quite a few over the last couple of years. Meet-ups all around the world, and many good friendships between members. Fucking cool when you come to think of it actually!"
